Secure Communication via Quantum Channels

Date: 24 - 28 April 2017
Convenors: Holger Boche (München, GER), Christian Deppe (Bielefeld, GER), Andreas Winter (Barcelona, ESP)

The main topics of the workshop Secure Communication via Quantum Channels were quantum information theory, quantum repeaters, quantum computers, quantum cryptography, and quantum optics. Each day was devoted to one of these topics and featured two tutorials each on the theme of the day, specially aimed at the interdisciplinary audience. In the afternoon, there were more specialized lectures on the current state of research and technology. Each day ended with an interesting panel discussion. The workshop participants came from the fields of computer science, mathematics, physics, telecommunications, and electrical engineering.
