From Learning to Autonomy

Brain Science and Pedagogics

ZiF-Public Lecture with Manfred Spitzer (Ulm)
Date: July 7, 2005, 7 p.m.

Manfred Spitzer

On Thursday July 7, the next ZiF-Public Lecture will take place. This time, it focuses on education in the context of modern brain science. In the last ten years, which have also been termed the "decade of the brain", neurophysiology and neurobiology have yielded deeper and more differentiated insights into the work of our brains than ever before. Much of that is of great importance when it comes to learning and teaching. Prof. Dr. Dr. Manfred Spitzer - physician, psychologist, neuroscientist and philosopher - is an expert in this area who is capable of introducing even difficult matters like these to the general public without too much experts' jargon.
