A lot of hassle is going on at Bielefeld University during the bi-annually staged “Uni Theater-Festival” [“Uni Theatre Festival”]. Getting informed, watching, participating- you can get a first-hand impression of the diversity of the theatre scene of Bielefeld via workshops and “theatre appetizers” as well as evening performances. In the summer of 2009 theatrical groups, amongst them the university ensembles, diverse independent theatres as well as the municipal theatre Bielefeld offered an interesting programme whilst the entrance was free. The basics for performing theatre were taught in seven workshops. 1,150 visitors made use of the opportunity.  

The next Uni Theatre Festival will take place on the 26th and 27th of January 2012. More information can be found here (in German).
