Exploring the advanced methodologies in the domains of qualitative and quantitative research focusing in the Psychology of Religion and Spirituality. Specific interests include Horizontal/Vertical Transcendence, Spirituality, Secularization, Non-belief, Social Psychology, and Evolutionary Psychology.

I am a senior undergraduate Pre-Medical and Psychology major at UTC. I have been working with the Faith Development team since May of 2012. My other current research projects include Atheism in the United States and Childhood Obesity in the Southeast. I am applying for medical school in June 2013 with plans to become a rural primary care physician and to lead medical missions both within the US and internationally. I am a scribe for Chattanooga Emergency Medicine and work in the Emergency Department at Memorial Hospital. I am also one of six pre-medical students at UTC selected to intern at Erlanger Hospital through UTC?s Pre-Med Elective Program.

In his professional capacity, Matthew Durham works in the field of cancer research as a Regulatory Coordinator for a large physician owned Oncology practice. He spends most days working to learn and improve upon a variety of industry best practices, as well as devise useful metrics through which the efficacy of those practices can be evaluated. In his academic life, he is an Undergraduate Philosophy and Religion major whose main areas of focus are religious exegesis, religious epistemology, and philosophy of science. His current interest is in studying the cognitive processes through which religious experiences are both interpreted and later recalled. Most importantly, he is the lucky husband of an exceptional woman and the proud father of a precocious toddler.

Originally from New York, I attend University of Tennessee at Chattanooga, working on an undergraduate degree in anthropology with a minor in religion. I intend on making a career in religious studies. I am a frequent team member for the university's rowing team.

I am currently concentrating on obtaining a Bachelors of Science in Psychology with a minor in Sociology; I plan to future my education by attending graduate school. My career goals are to do clinical Psychology working with family and children.

I'm an undergraduate in the UTC B.S. Psychology program. Spirituality studies are a passion of mine and I'm looking forward to being part of this research team. The fields of most interest are Comparative, Evolutionary, and Experimental Psychology

As an undergraduate honors student at UT Chattanooga, I am currently pursuing a B.S. in Psychology and a minor in Visual Art with intent to continue on to a graduate degree in Clinical or Research Psychology. My research interests lie in Psychology of Religion, particularly the spirituality of subcultures such as homosexuals. I have experience in Abnormal Psychology and currently am employed as an Assistant Art Therapist at the AIM Center for Mental Health.

I am a recent University of Tennessee at Chattanooga graduate, with a Bachelor of Science degree in Psychology. From here, I intend to apply for graduate school to pursue a research career that may possibly lead to a teaching career. While my research interests are quite varied, I am extremely interested in significant differences across cultures, particularly in the area of religion and various medical aspects.

I am currently a junior at the University of Tennessee at Chattanooga pursuing a Bachelors of Science in Psychology. I will likely pursue my Masters in Psychology research at UTC as well. My research interest is in the development of personality disorders in children and adolescents.

As a Chattanooga transplant from Mountain Dale NY, and an undergrad senior at UTC, I am majoring in Psychology with a minor in Sociology. I enjoy reading about and studying people, personalities, and ways to better our community structures. I love being outdoors hiking, camping, biking, and taking pictures of life all around me. In addition to being a student I am a mother to a beautiful six year old girl who fills the rest of my time with any activities centered around art that she can come up with.

I was born and raised in Knoxville, Tennessee. After receiving my Associate of Science from Pellissippi State Community College, I transferred to the University of Tennessee at Chattanooga to finish my degrees: I am currently double majoring in Psychology and Criminal Justice. Once I graduate in May 2014, I plan to continue my education in graduate school. When I?m not focusing on studying or working, I travel the States rock climbing; the most beautiful route I?ve climbed can be found on the slopes in Red Rock Canyon, Nevada.

I currently serve as a counselor and adjunct psychology faculty at Chattanooga State Community College. My background is diverse, and I worked in the fields of industrial engineering and educational ministry before coming to higher education. My dissertation research was on transformative learning and faith development, and those continue to be interests of mine. I am also very interested in mixed methods of research, so this project is fascinating to me from many angles.
