The Welcome Centre will host an art exhibition opening by artist Mutlu Yilmazer on March 21 at 17:00. Yilmazer is an artist of the ancient art form Ebru, in which pigments are extracted from soil, sprayed onto water, and transferred to paper. The artist is also a musician of the Sufi mystical instrument the Ney, which will accompany the exhibition. It will begin in room C5-133 of the Welcome Centre, and continue later to Univarza in the main hall.
The Welcome Centre is offering a guided tour of the Historic Museum of Bielefeld on Wednesday, March 28 at 15:30. Participants will be lead through exhibits featuring interesting aspects of the history of Bielefeld. The tour will be in English and free of charge. Spots are limited, however, so please send an email to firstname.lastname@example.org in order to reserve a spot.

In the spirit of supporting a more inclusive and understanding university community, the Welcome Centre will be offering an intercultural competence training with the aim of bringing members of the university together to discuss, explore and expand upon their experiences and notions of intercultural interaction and communication. All international academics are invited to attend. here.
