Especially for the first weeks and months of your stay in Bielefeld, we will arrange for someone to help and support you personally. To participate all you have to do is sign up for the interKontakt mentoring program. The main goal of this program is that you and a German doctoral candidate (or an international PhD student who has been here for some time) can visit institutions at Bielefeld University together, explore the city of Bielefeld, or get and exchange useful tips, such as getting registered in Bielefeld and dealing with other bureaucratic technicalities.
Of course the participation is free of charge!
