Creating structures for equal opportunities in the areas of gender and family has been at the heart of Bielefeld University's strategic policy for many years.
They have been maintained and continuously expanded. The University has already had many successes in the area of equal opportunities. It has implemented the Research-Oriented Standards on Gender Equality of the DFG, received the Total E-Quality hallmark, is certified as a "family-friendly university" and has an exemplary female professors' programme.
These achievements bear witness to the extensive efforts of the University to pursue the cross-cutting tasks of promoting gender equality and family-friendly structures, to ensure that equal opportunity can be achieved on all levels in the long term.
Bielefeld University wants to support all areas that are oriented to equal opportunities and encourage diversity, and therefore actively addresses the issue of diversity.
