Birgitt Röttger-Rössler

PD Dr. Birgitt Röttger-Rössler teaches Social Anthroplogy at the University of Göttingen. She studied social and physical anthroplogy, Ibero-Romanic as well as Malay languages and literatures at the universities of Göttingen, Zurich, Cologne and Bonn.

Research interests: emotion, gender, life history and autobiographical narrating; Indonesian and Malay literatures.
Areas of research: Insular Southeast Asia. Several years of fieldwork in Indonesia, mainly in South Sulawesi.
