Scientific Career

Oliver Rauprich studied biology and philosophy in Munich and Chicago and got his PhD in philosophy at the Ludwig-Maximilians-Universität in Munich. He was assistant professor in medical ethics at the Friedrich-Alexander-Universität Erlangen-Nuremberg and Head of the Junior-Research Group "Justice in modern medicine" at the Ruhr-Universität Bochum. Currently he is heading the section "ethics of health care systems and public health" at the Institute for Ethics, History and Theory of Medicine at the Ludwig-Maximilians-Universität Munich. Research stays brought him to the Kennedy Institute of Ethics, Georgetown University, Washington DC, and to the Program in Ethics and Health, Harvard University, Boston.
