Gerhard Staufenbiel's cycle of 36 drawings concerning Hölderlin's poem Patmos of 1802 was created during a period of five years. The prints are to be seen as individual reactions to the poem, the result of thought and contemplation.

Gerhard Staufenbiel was born in Magdeburg in 1938; he is now living in Paderborn.

On June 18 at 5 p. m. there was a Hölderlin Soiree with recitations, music performances, discussions.
