Artist: Gereon Inger (Bielefeld)

The Bielefeld-based artist Gereon Inger (born 1960) presents at the ZiF drawings of clouds. Under the heading ‘comfort drawn from clouds’ Inger, a student of the master class at the academy of arts Düsseldorf, arranges an installation consisting of prints, showcases and digital frames. On September 4 (Vernissage) and on October 28 (Finissage) visitors may see the transparent Cloud-Gestures-Atlas at the panorama windows as well as the editions. They may exchange drawings of clouds with the artist in front of the ZiF and use landscape stamps for their own pictures in the ZiF ‘Plenary Hall’. Here, an introduction into Inger’s work and the book-project from which the drawings originate will be given. At the opening, the editions ‘comfort drawn from clouds’ and ‘frightening clouds’ appear.
