With her presentation of multimedia installations Gabriele Undine Meyer shows a very personal exhibition at the ZiF, entitled ‘pro_jections’. The Bielefeld-based artist has been working on the subject of collective memories for many years. Since 2008 she has been confronting herself with her own biography. In these works (‘Temporary Housing’, 2008, ‘Me, Myself, Poosie and I’, 2010) she deals with the subject’s interwovenness with social breaks and upheavals. Her installations – newly created for the ZiF – take up biographical aspects that also reflect collective experiences between ‘East and West’ of the German situation after the war.
