Go creative! Visualise your dissertation project!
Dear doctoral students of History and Sociology!
We are happy to invite you to participate in our new round of the visualise project. Get creative and display your dissertation project visually! It is on you to decide in what form you do this, the only important thing is that you submit one picture that is directly connected to your research project and of which you are the sole author. Those of you who have participated in the first round of this project are kindly invited to participate with a new picture – the contributions of the first round will be retained.
What we want:
one picture in digital form (pdf oder jpg, 300dpi, format: 42*29,7cm (DIN A3)) ; e.g. a photograph from you field or archive research, a drawing or painting, a collage of project relevant newspaper articles etc., which is related to your dissertation project and of which you are the sole originator (i.e. copyright owner)
What we don’t want:
text documentations
After closing date, all pictures will be displayed on the BGHS homepage – the pictures of the last round are already displayed at: www.uni-bielefeld.de/bghs/programm/visualise. Selected pictures will also be exhibited on K4 and printed on greeting cards or other give-aways.
Terms & Conditions
All doctoral students of Sociology and History are eligible for participation. Please print out the attached participation form, fill it in, sign it and hand it in to the organisers of this project (Thomas Abel und Marie-Christine Heinze). The picture must be handed in in digital format. Closing date is January 31, 2010.
Participants will receive a confirmation of receipt after they have handed in the participation form and the picture. The submitted material cannot be returned. Participants agree that the picture as well as its copyright devolve to the Bielefeld Graduate School upon submission.
Display and Publication
All pictures will be displayed on the BGHS homepage. Selected pictures will also be exhibited on K4 from spring 2010 and used for merchandise.
