The Faculty of Biology offers a variety of options to achieve a doctoral degree as an entrance in to a scientific career.

The Faculty of Biology is involved in two interdiciplinary research clusters, the cluster of excellence „Cognitive Interaction Technology“ (CITEC) and the „Center for Biotechnology“ (CeBiTec). Both clusters provied graduate programmes for structured Ph.D. studies.
