AG 6 focuses its research activities on the impacts of epidemiologic and demographic shifts on healthcare and nursing care. Of particular concern are the challenges posed by the management of chronic disease and the subjective level need for care, and the problems associated with health impairments in old age.
The department focuses on projects such as the design of needs-based, patient-centered, user-friendly care; user involvement; health literacy; patient information and counseling; self-management support; challenges of health disabilities; new models of care in primary-care and long-term settings; care integration and continuity; regionally differentiated care; and Advanced Nursing Practice (ANP).
