Centre for Business Creation / Zentrum für Unternehmengründung

The Centre for Business Creation (Zentrum für Unternehmensgründung (ZUg))
at the Bielefeld University supports students, graduates, scientists and administration members in their endeavour to create a business start up. Its main focus is directed at maximising the value of research results and scientific developments and to transition them into a marketable product or service.

Candidates who intend to start up a business can make an appointment for a preliminary consultation. In the first session the counselors will evaluate the market-
value and realization of the business concept. Through comprehensive advice, constant revaluation and feedback from external mentors, candidates will develop a fully functional business plan. Furthermore the Centre for Business Creation offers additional training opportunities, workshops and cooperations to further strengthen the entrepreneurial soft- and hard skills.

The advice sessions are cost-free and completely confidential.

Start up entrepreneurs will also be supported in finding and applying for funding as well as joining a start-up network.

The Centre for Business Creation receives academic support from the Chair of Innovation and Technology Management of the Faculty for Business Administration and Economics.
