Stay abroad at the Johns Hopkins University, Baltimore, USA for doctoral researcher

linked with a doctoral scholarship

Members of the BGHS have the opportunities to apply for a stay for 9 months at the Johns Hopkins University in Baltimore, Maryland, USA. The University is one of the best research facilities of history at the east-coast of the US and offers contact to a variety of other highly qualified doctoral researchers. Projects of researchers, working mostly sociological, should be connectable to historically motivated issues. The participation on the graduate program at the John Hopkins University gives the opportunity to work in small study groups and offers enough room for your own dissertation project.

During the stay a scholarship of 1,300.00 EURO per month will be paid. On top, journeys between Bielefeld and Baltimore will be paid up to 1,500.00 EURO by handing in the documents of travel.

The Baltimore exchange program is limited to two doctoral researchers per year for the BGHS.

The program will presumably be between 1.9.2010 and 31.5.2011.
