Self introduction:

Early, even in my time at school, there was the aim to study biology. The next step was to find my favourit subject. That was not really difficult because animal behaviour is a very interessting topic. So after my exams I joined the department to work on my diploma thesis.

Other members of this department found out that even non migrating zebra finches use a magnetic field sense for orientation. In my diploma thesis is to find out how magnetic disturbances (throughout little bar magnets) influence the foraging of zebra finches (if they prefer a bowl with a magnet inside).
