The Department of Epidemiology & International Public Health (AG3), with support from German Academic Exchange Service (DAAD), established a University partnership with Jawaharlal Nehru University in Delhi/India and Baskent University in Ankara/Turkey. The goal of the partnership is to strengthen teaching in International Public Health at the three universities. Public health issues relevant to affluent and resource-poor countries will be discussed

• via innovative electronic media,
• via summer schools and
• via targeted exchange of staff and students who will act as local multipliers.
