How to get to the instituteThe Institute for Interdisciplinary Research on Conflict and Violence is in sections K6, S5, S6, and T4 of Bielefeld University’s main building (see site map). How to get here by public transportFrom the main railroad station (Hauptbahnhof) take streetcar number 4 toward »Universität/Lohmannshof« and get out at the stop called »Universität.« You can find a taxi in front of the main railroad station. The fare to the university is less than €10. How to get here by carComing from the south on autobahn A2: exit at junction 26 (Bielefeld-Sennestadt) and drive onto Paderborner Strasse (B68). After 1.9 km the name changes to Brackweder Strasse (B68), and again after 2.8 km to Südring (B68). After 3.2 km on Südring turn right onto Ostwestfalendamm (B61). After 5.2 km take the Stapenhorststrasse exit and follow the signs to the university (Universität). Coming from the north on autobahn A2: exit at junction 27 (Bielefeld-Zentrum) and drive onto the B66. Follow the signs to the city center (Stadtmitte) and then to the university (Universität). There is plenty of free parking at the university.
