Dipl. Soz. Aribert Heyder

Aribert Heyder studied sociology at the University of Mannheim (subject of diploma thesis: »We are better people, you are worse«—a representative study of determinants of ethnocentrism in Germany) and during this time worked in different projects (Programme Director: Prof. Peter Schmidt) for the Center for Survey Research and Methodology (ZUMA). Subsequently he worked as a researcher at the Institute for Political Science at the University of Gießen in a German-Israeli cooperation project (University of Haifa and Tel Aviv, Research Instructors: Prof. Moshe Semyonov, Prof. Peter Schmidt). This research project titled »Labor Migration, Market Competition, and Ethnocentrism: Guest-workers in Israel and Germany«. He assisted in numerous international courses on structural equation models at various summer schools and organized workshops on the application of structural equation models using AMOS software.
