Prof. Bora and Dr. Martina Franzen have been appointed by the Ministry for Innovation, Science and Research of Northrhine-Westfalia as members of the Ethical-Legal-Social Working Group of the Stem Cell Network North Rhine-Westphalia.

Mark Torka's doctoral thesis on Die Projektförmigkeit der Forschung [The project-like nature of research] has been selected for the 2010 Ulrich Teichler Prize. The award ceremony will take place at the 5th annual conference of the Gesellschaft für Hochschulforschung [Society for higher education research] in Hannover.
