In order to welcome freshman students Bielefeld University issued the “Kulturszene Bielefeld” [Cultural Scene Bielefeld] coupon booklet. It contains twenty vouchers and given to the “freshers” at the Infopunkt in the university hall with the study documents. The coupon booklet 2011/12 is worth about 90€ and provides free entrance to the Kunsthalle Bielefeld [Art Exhibition Hall Bielefeld] and a concert of the Bielefeld Philharmonic Orchestra! Even two persons get free entrance to the Bielefelder Kunstverein im Waldhof and three to the Design-Museum Huelsmann. Other places that offer special discounts when shown the voucher and student ID are the Theaterlabor, the Lichtwerk Kino, the Bielefelder Jazzclub, the Historisches Museum [Historical Museum], the Bunker Ulmenwall, the Kulturamt and many more.
