Description

The teaching units, talks and events of the "Language and Context Institute 2015A" are part of the curriculum project „Language in cultural context: documentation, description, application“ that is hosted by the Bielefeld University, Bielefeld, Germany, and the partner university Université Félix Houphouet Boigny, Abidjan, Côte d'Ivoire - funded by the DAAD. All events are open for the guest students from Côte d'Ivoire as well as for the students of the Bielefeld University.
 

Aims

  • Text technological foundations of language documentation
  • Linguistic foundations of language documentation: data collection and data analysis
  • Translation of documents of public utility into local languages
