  • Coordinator of MPI research project "Multimodal Interaction".
  • Coordinator of subproject "Joint Action in Dialogue", within European Project JAST ("Joint Action Science and Technology"), hosted by the Language and Cognition group (headed by Prof. S. Levinson) at the Max Planck Institute for Psycholinguistics.
2002-2004 Researcher in the European Union Project COMIC ("Conversational Multimodal Interaction with Computers"), hosted by the Speech Production Group (headed by Prof. W. Levelt) at the Max Planck Institute for Psycholinguistics.
1999-2001 Post-Doc at Cologne University, Dept. of Social Psychology.
1997-1999 Post-Doc at the Max Planck Institute for Psycholinguistics.
1994-1997  Ph.D. at the Max Planck Institute for Psycholinguistics with Prof. W. Levelt. Dissertation title: "Gesture and Speech Production".
1992-1993 Scientific Computer Programmer at Leiden University at the dept. of Prof. G. Kempen.
1988-1992 Cognitive Science at the Catholic University of Nijmegen (now "Radboud University"). Master's degree August 1992. Master Thesis written at the Max Planck Institute for Psycholinguistics. Title: "Predicting and Measuring the Moment of Auditory Word Recognition", supervised by Prof. U. Frauenfelder and Dr. A. Dijkstra.
