Doctoral and Post-Doctoral Habilitation Theses

The University library publishes doctoral and post-doctoral habilitation theses along with other examination work (if publication is recommended) by Bielefeld University staff free of charge on the Internet. These works are archived permanently by the University library, made accessible with the help of the authors, and catalogued in the bibliographic database. Doctoral and post-doctoral habilitation theses are also sent to the German National Library. Each work receives a permanently stable and citable IP address.

The works are quickly available online, and they can be viewed and searched worldwide. If your doctoral thesis is published in this way, you have to hand in only two printed copies, thereby greatly reducing printing costs.
