This is the Web-Page of the Working Group Structural Equation Modeling. This group exists since 1986 and is going to create information pages for its members and other people who are interested in developments and applications of structural equation models.
The Working Group "Structural Equation Modeling" was founded in 1986 and had its first meeting at ZUMA, Mannheim. Problems and developments of structural equation modeling are discussed on meetings or small conferences to be held annually in various locations in Germany, Netherlands and Switzerland. Meetings will be in April or Mai each year depending on the local organizer who will be elected in the respective previous meeting. Members of the group are coming from various disciplines, for example Psychology, Sociology, Political Science, Economy. The Working Group has an informal character. There is no affiliation to any research organization. Exchange and presentation of methodological problems in structural equation modeling and related fields are the main goal of the group. The presentation of current research problems on the meetings with questions from the speaker to the audiance are highly recommended. The topics of the meetings are varying, papers with related themes are also accepted. Since 1991 reviewed papers are collected in books with local organizer(s) as publisher(s). The FRG e. V. Mannheim has a series on structural equation modeling with two volumes until 1996. The local organizer(s) can publish the proceedings in that series but is/are also free to proove other possibilities.
