The rapid industrialization and urbanization of Korean society from 1960 -1970 also led to a Pentecostal revival in the Korean church. However, due to its lack of support for the democratisation movement in the mid-80s, the Protestant church in Korea has been heavily criticized and stopped growing. The people's disappointment with the church's inaction meant that the number of members to this day is still decreasing. In my opinion, the main reason for this problem is the ruling pneumatology of the Korean people's faith. The popular understanding of the Holy Spirit follows the teachings of the Korean Pentecostal Church. However, these teachings have so far been focused on the individual. Limiting pneumatology in Korea to concerns about individual welfare and blessings has excluded the diaconal area that is committed to others and society.
This issue raises the following questions: Why create and develop this Korean pneumatology? Can using a new, modified pneumatology overcome this crisis? Must a new pneumatology be constructed to overcome this crisis?
The new pneumatology is beyond the scope of the pneumatology of the Korean Pentecostal church. Shamanism in Korean Pentecostal Church refers only to the individual. The new pneumatology tries to use shamanism to show that there is a relationship between the Holy Spirit and society. Asian, Gi is the active energy to spread this new pneumatology. Today's pneumatology will be expanded to include the Korean shamanism and the Asian, Gi '.
The new pneumatology is a holistic pneumatology and it works for the kingdom of God. At a personal level, the new pneumatology is the old, limited, only to replace the individual happiness-looking vision of the Pentecostal Church and lead to a comprehensive understanding of the Holy Spirit, which leads to a strengthening of faith. The diaconal work of the Christian community for society is strengthened by the new pneumatology. The Korean people will develop confidence in the Christian community, which will lead to a stabilization and general improvement of society.
Our world is approaching the kingdom of God. The Holy Spirit works to preserve creation, prevent war and eliminate poverty. Through the work of the Holy Spirit, the world is the kingdom of God. This kingdom is one of justice, liberation and freedom.
