This workshop featured well over twenty lecturers, mostly mathematical physicists, and various additional participants, including PhD students. It lasted from Monday morning until Saturday noon. Among topics addressed in the lectures were: Foundation of quantum mechanics (in particular, the role of time in quantum mechanics), quantum dynamics and scattering theory, density functional theory, linear response theory, Kubo formulae, quantum Brownian motion, quantum friction, mean-field dynamics, counting statistics in quantum wires, quantum networks, topological insulators, as well as a lecture on the history of geometry. (The only experimentalist lecturing at this second workshop was Helmut Rauch from Vienna, who had already lectured at the first workshop.) The spectrum of topics was broad and the lectures and discussions were very lively. In average, the lectures were, perhaps, a little too technical-not untypical for a meeting among mathematical physicists. Most participants came from Germany, France, Italy, Austria and Switzerland.
