ZiF – International Partners

The first Institute for Advanvced Study (IAS) was founded in Princeton/NJ in 1930. Since then, more than 100 similar institutions have been established around the world, most of them at universities. The ZiF has been in existence since 1968, making it the oldest university-based IAS worldwide.

The IAS are connected by various international networks, including UBIAS and NETIAS. An example of international cooperation among the IAS is the Intercontinental Academia, which is co-organized by the ZiF. The ZiF aims to expand its international research cooperations.
