Martin Egelhaaf is professor of neurobiology at Bielefeld University and Principal Investigation in the Center of Excellence Cognitive Interaction Technology. His main research topics are the neuronal mechanisms underlying visually guided behaviour of insects and the application of biological principles of information processing in artificial systems. Since January 2006 he is Vice-Rector for Research, Young Researchers and Equal Opportunities of Bielefeld University.
