Research interests

I'm a behavioural and evolutionary ecologist particularly interested in how variation is maintained. I'm a field ornithologist by training that has spent a substantial amount of time studying dominance hierarchies. I believe science is a cumulative process, and that meta-analyses are essential to scientific progress. For my postdoc project, I will conduct meta-analyses to study behavioural individualization as part of the SFB-TRR 212: NC³ project. I strongly support open science, and my aim of life (scientifically) is to pre-register all my studies.

since 2018 Postdoctoral researcher, Bielefeld University, Germany. Project: The behavioural ecology of individualized niches in the light of meta-analyses.
2013-2018 PhD student, Max Planck Institute for Ornithology, Seewiesen, Germany. Thesis: The evolution of social dominance in house sparrows.
2012-2013 MSc in Ethology, University of Cordoba, Spain.
2011-2012 BSc in Biology, Erasmus programme, University of Gothenburg, Sweden.
2006-2012 BSc in Biology, University of Granada, Spain.
