Conditions for participation in the programme include a first university degree (Bachelor) in an area of the Social Sciences or a comparable field of study. First, interested students should use the regular application for the MA Sociology in the Online application portal.
After admission to the MA Sociology at Bielefeld University, interested students may apply for the Double Degree programme Sociology in Bielefeld-Bologna during their first MA semester. Therefore, you must hand in a printed version of the following application documents to postbox 367 until January 31st with the remark BOLOGNA DOUBLE DEGREE MASTER.
Double Degree application form (HINT: The filled form is necessary to receive the scholarship. Nevertheless students in the Double Degree programme will enroll as regular international students and not as Erasmus+ exchange students at the University of Bologna)

Transcript of Records (of the Bachelor) and an overview of courses in which you are currently enrolled
Certificates that prove proficiency in English B2 and Italian B1 (need to be presented before the date of departure). At the time the application is submitted, it needs to be credibly proved that sufficient language proficiency will be obtained by the time of departure. Students have the possibility to visit an intensive Italian course in Bologna before the lecture starts that will increase the level of Italian by least about one level.
After reviewing the applications, up to five applicants will be nominated for the programme. The response to your admission will be given without undue delay.
