Bielefeld School of Public Health (Faculty of Health Sciences) at Bielefeld University / Germany announces an opening for a
Professorship (W3) in Public Health/ Nursing Science
to be filled at the earliest possible date.
As an interdisciplinary faculty, we attach great importance to
cooperation across disciplinary borders within the School of Public
Health, as well as within and beyond Bielefeld University.
The successful candidate for this full professorship will focus on
nursing science in research and teaching (Bachelor’s and Master’s
level, in German). Experience in areas attuned to the core scientific
research of the faculty is preferable. In the long run, the successful
candidate will also take over the affiliated position of Director of
the Institute of Nursing Science (IPW).
Interested applicants must have a university degree and a professional
focus on nursing science. Their extensive, public health-related
research experience is well documented through relevant international
scientific publications and through a capability to generate extramural
funding for their research projects. A Habilitation, or
habilitation-equivalent publications with significant references to
public health, as well as extensive experience in academic teaching are
expected. Experience in international research collaborations would be
an advantage.
The teaching load consists of a total of nine (9) hours of class
instruction per week in accordance with § 3 para. 1 no. 1 LVV.
Requirements for appointment are regulated by § 36 Higher Education Act
[HG]).
