Faculty of Technology at Bielefeld University, Germany, and the Leibniz Institute for Analytic Sciences (ISAS) invite applications for an
Assistant Professorship (W1 with tenure W2) in Multidimensional Omics Analysis
With the appointment to university professor the successful candidate

The position’s duties will be primarily research and teaching. The tenure track assistant professor will cooperate with working groups of the Faculty of Technology and will establish his/her own group at ISAS located in Dortmund. ISAS aims at the development of analytic approaches, methods and devices to enable a patient-tailored prevention medicine and to improve the prevention, diagnosis and therapy of diseases, contributing significantly to overcome social challenges in health care and medicine. To this end, ISAS is developing new sampling strategies and combines various analytic methods on top of an integrative multimethod approach in biomedicine and health research. Bielefeld University offers the possibility for interdisciplinary research and collaboration with facilities like the Center for Biotechnology (CeBiTec) and the Bielefeld Institute for Bioinformatics Infrastructure (BIBI).
During the tenure phase the assistant professor is expected to raise competitive funding.
