The competence centre has developed various handouts to support procurers in ensuring the accessibility of software and websites.

The handouts refer to the legal framework conditions such as the  North Rhine-Westphalia Accessible Information Technology Ordinance (BITVNRW), the European standard for digital accessibility (EN 301 549) and the criteria of the Web Content Accessibility Guidelines (WCAG).

The document "Checklist before and during the allocation procedure" serves as an orientation for procurers and provides information on what should be considered at the beginning of the process and during the procedure. The "Checklist for tender assessment" provides support in checking the accessibility information in the bids submitted. In addition, the "Self-assessment for accessible procurement" is available, in which bidders can provide information on the accessibility of the product. There is also the "Legal basis for accessible procurement" overview, which provides a general overview of the applicable laws and regulations.
