International study content

Would you like to add an international perspective to your studies, optimize your foreign language skills, establish international contacts and get to know new cultures?

In the following, we inform you about both faculty-internal and university-wide offerings that you can take advantage of to meet the growing importance of international aspects and topics in the education of public health professionals. These offerings are designed to prepare you for a career in an international context.

The degree programme Master of Public Health (M.Sc.) already provides for comprehensive elective options in the second and third subject related semester, offering a broad spectrum of public health relevant content.

Starting with the Winter semester 2023/24, the existing Master of Public Health will be complemented by a new profile called "International Perspectives of Public Health (IPPH)". In the course of studies of this profile, an international focus will be set in order to meet the growing importance of international aspects and topics in the education of public health professionals. In order to successfully implement the new profile, entirely new English-language modules with international content were designed. Existing Modules have been further developed in terms of content. Some or all of the courses in these modules are taught in English, and the required coursework and examinations are conducted in English. In addition, an English-language Master's thesis with an international focus is planned.

The following modules are components of the International Perspectives of Public Health profile. The current news of the courses as well as the requirements for study and examination achievements are specified in the respective descriptions in the electronic course catalogue ( ekvV ).
