Information for Patients and Relatives

In our outpatient clinic, we offer a wide range of neuropsychological offer for patients with emotional, cognitive, and behavioral impairments associated with neurological conditions. We provide comprehensive diagnostics and therapy to offer the best possible support for you and your relatives.

What Sets Us Apart as a University Outpatient Clinic

As a university outpatient clinic, we are affiliated with the Department of Clinical Neuropsychology and Psychotherapy at Bielefeld University. We support you and your relatives within the framework of research and teaching. This means, in addition to utilizing the latest diagnostic and therapeutic methods:

  • Students of clinical psychology and psychotherapy observe or treat patients under the supervision of licensed psychotherapists specialized in neuropsychology.
  • Data from diagnostics and therapy are anonymized and evaluated for research purposes.
  • Due to our research mandate, we prioritize patients whose conditions align with our current research focus areas.

Initial Consultation

In an initial consultation we will assess together whether neuropsychological treatment is suitable for you. We will ask you about your medical condition, cognitive and emotional impairments and your treatment goals.
Please bring any previous medical records with you.

If your concerns align with one of our research projects, we will discuss the possibility of you participating in this study.

You will then be allocated a place on our waiting list. The waiting time depends on our availability, unfortunately we cannot provide an estimate in advance.
