Angelika Maier received a B.A. in German Philology with subsidiary subject Texttechnology and a M.A. in Linguistics with the profile computer linguistics at the Bielefeld University. In her masterthesis, she investigated incremental end-of-turn detection for dialogue systems.
Funded by a CITEC - Scholarship, Angelika Maier is working as a PhD candidate in the Semantic Computing Group since July 2016. She investigates extraction of argumentative links in natural language texts.
Since January 2018 she is a proud member of the MAEWIN project (automated decision support systems in social services: : possible usecases, implications and need for regulations) in the NRW-Graduate Research School "Digital Society NRW" which is funded by the ministery for culture and research of North Rhine-Westphalia.
