Philipp Heinisch is a PhD student in the Semantic Computing Group at Bielefeld University. He studied computer science at the University of Paderborn before. Also, he found his strong interest in machine learning approaches and later in natural language processing there. An emphasization of this is his master thesis “Stance Classification in ArgumentSearch”, in which he researched a better classification approach within the args.me argument search engine. Since September 2019, Philipp Heinisch intensifies his research in the field the natural language processing of arguments in Bielefeld. In particular, he examines machine learning, argument comprehension and inference. The search experience in an argument search engine is a valuable issue and use case. To this end, he tackles the question of clustering natural language arguments and the measurement of the quality of them.
