Master in InterAmerican Studies (IAS)
The Master of InterAmerican Studies (Master en Estudios InterAmericanos, Master InterAmerikanische Studien) is an interdisciplinary
program that combines courses from various faculties, including those of Linguistics and Literature, History, Sociology, and Political Science.
The academic courses offered for the Masters are principally taught in Spanish, English and German, which both enriches the graduate's credentials and allows for the participation of international students in the program. Currently, along with students from Germany, the program has students from all over the world, including Brazil, Chile, Colombia, Spain, the United States, Mexico, Nicaragua, Peru, and Russia, among others. As part of the program's internationalization, several agreements with universities in other parts of the world have been formed, which seek to promote and facilitate study abroad opportunities, as well as the hosting of exchange students. Similarly, each semester we welcome visiting professors from Latin America, North America, and the Caribbean.
