Call for Papers

On the 2nd July 2021 Shaping Asia Network organises an online academic workshop entitled

EMERGE! Countering Somnambulism through Connectivities, Comparisons, and Collaborations.

The workshop intends to jointly find ways out of academic depression and lonely somnambulism. It will discuss the potentials of the network’s ‘Three Cs’—connectivities, comparisons, and collaborations—as methods of pushing back against the negative (mental) health effects of the pandemic across continents.

The organisers—Thomas Stodulka, Joanna Pfaff-Czarnecka and Éva-Rozália Hölzle—welcome interested colleagues to submit paper proposals that fleshes out their perspectives on collaborations, connectivities, and comparisons.

The deadline for paper proposals is the 10th of May 2021.

Programme Point Sud 2022 accepts now event proposals from scholars working on Africa-related themes.

Programme Point Sud 2022 is financed by the German Research Foundation (DFG) and aims to foster cooperation and dialogue between German, African and international scholars and institutions. The steering committee encourages scholars working on Asia who are interested in the entanglements with Africa to apply.
