The Master Gender study allows in a special way a deepening of Gender competence. This fulfills the goal, to qualify students for a career in science or non-university careers and gives the opportunity to study an individual profile.
The Master-Program is divided into eight modules of which five have to be visited. The module “Theoretische Grundlagen der Geschlechterforschung” has the central aspect of challenging theoretical literature and its processing in seminar work. In the module “Praxis der Geschlechterforschung” students will carry out their own (theoretical or empirical) projects and deepen their research abilities and methodical skills. The modules “Subjekt, Körper Identität; Herrschaft, Normativität und symbolische Ordnung; Lebensverhältnisse, Umwelt, Ökonomie und Wissensformen und Wissenschaft”fulfill the theatrical fields of gender studies.A detailed overview of all courses can be found on the Website of MA Gender Studies.
