General information: Bordeaux is a dynamic metropolis in the Southwest of France near the Atlantic Coast, and is named the "City of Arts and History” due to its rich historical and cultural heritage. Moreover, Bordeaux is a university city that has become famous as the scientific and innovative center of the French southwest. French liberalism has long been a political tradition in the region. The Sciences PO is one of 19 Higher Education institutions in the city and belongs to the educational centers of the "Grande École". It concentrates exclusively on the Social and Political Sciences, and about 1,500 students, of which about 25% are international students, learn at the institute.

The Institute offers the Diplôme d'institut d'études politiques , which covers the five years of study from Bachelor to Master in Political Sciences. Detailed information and a study plan with an overview of courses for every year of the Diplôme de Sciences Po Bordeaux, is available on the website of the university. The institute is divided into four schools dedicated to the areas of health sciences, human sciences, science and technology, and law, economics and political science. Three further departments complement the schools. Science Po Bordeaux attach particular importance to internationality and teaching in exchange with local companies and institutions. A wide range of courses in the Social Sciences, Humanities, and Economic Sciences is offered to exchange students. This English course offer is also available on the university’s website.
Study terms: The winter semester regularly starts in mid-September and ends in January. The summer term starts regularly in mid-January and ends in June. Exams are held respectively in January and May.
Other information: Student accommodation is available in France through a regional student service named CROUS (Centre Régional des Œuvres Universitaires et Scolaires), or through private renters. It is recommended to organize your accommodation with sufficient time in anticipation of arrival.
