General information: Yıldız Technical University is the third oldest university in Turkey and one of seven public universities in Istanbul. It comprises ten faculties and two research institutes that educate more than 30,000 students. The Department of Political Science and International Relations is part of the Faculty of Economy and Administration, and works closely with the Faculty of Social Sciences.

The aim of these programmes is to educate highly qualified specialists who have a broad theoretical, historical, and analytical understanding of the processes of national and international political relations. Exchange students can take various introductory courses on political science and the theoretical and historical aspects of politics and international relations. In addition, the university offers a wide variety of options for specialization in the areas of public administration, human rights and democracy, globalization, and Islamic and nationalist movements. Study terms: Courses in the winter semester start regularly in mid-September and end in December. Courses in the summer semester start regularly in mid-February and end in mid-June. Exams are held respectively in January for the winter semester in January and in June for the summer semester. Activities prior to the semester, such as the Orientation Day for Erasmus+ students, start separately and are announced through the mail.
