The first two semesters are studied in Bielefeld and cover the basics of the interdisciplinary area studies of InterAmerican Studies/Estudios Interamericanos. The second half of the programme is completed at the Universidad de Guadalajara with the support of a DAAD scholarship. There, the focus in the Maestría en Literaturas Interamericanas is on literary and cultural studies. The Master's thesis is written in Guadalajara.
