When you start your doctorate, new contacts are made: with supervisors, with colleagues in the working group and in the faculty, perhaps also with doctoral researchers in a research training group, in a graduate school or similar. The event "It's great to have you" offers the opportunity to talk to doctoral researchers who have all only been enrolled for a few months: whether for an individual doctorate or in a doctoral programme, at whichever of the 14 faculties - they are all doing their doctorate at Bielefeld University.
In "It's great to have you" you will get a brief overview of services that are available to all doctoral researchers at Bielefeld University; and - above all - the opportunity to talk to doctoral researchers from various faculties and make contacts.
"It's great to have you" is offered once per semester. The event is held in English.
