One of the main priorities of the EURAXESS Service Centres is to provide guidance, information and support to researchers who are pursuing a research career in another country. EURAXESS Staff members’ advice, assistance and support can contribute to refugee researchers’ (RRs) integration and professional realization in their country of residence.
The training aims at boosting EURAXESS staff skills in advising and helping the RRs to cooperate with industrial employers and act as their mentors.
It is a one-day training, focused on the following topics:

We will discuss together these and many other questions and aspects about how Refugee Researchers Could Benefit from Research Funding Opportunities in Europe Outside Academia. On the 9th May 2019 the training “Career Development and Social Integration for Refugee Researchers” took place, at TUBITAK Meeting Room No. 4, Atatürk Bulvari No: 221, Ankara, Turkey. All expences were covered by the BRiDGE project. the evaluation provided by the participants was very encouranging. We are ready to prepare even better tarining courses

The second BRiDGE training for Refugee Researchers was held in Thessaloniki, Greece on 13 February 2018. The training applied a practical approach and was held in English. The evaluation of the training course was positive, both the specifics and the overall atmosphere of the course. Lessons have been learned, and we are looking forward to the next event.

The first BRiDGE training for Refugee Researchers will be held in Sofia (Bulgaria) on 27 November 2018 by the EURAXESS BHO at Sofia University “St. Kliment Ohridski". It is designed as a one-day training devoted to two courses “ERA Labour Market” and “Foster Your Employability and Integrate Better in the Society” The training applied a practical approach and was held in English, while the expenses of the participants (travel and accommodation costs) were covered by the host. The evaluation of the training course is exceptionally promising, especially concerning the performance and presenation skills of trainers, the learning outcomes and the overall rating of the course. The lesson is learnt and we are robustly preparing for the next event.
