Institute of Economics - Corvinus University of Budapest

The Institute of Economics at Corvinus University of Budapest was formerly the Faculty of Economics and included many departments that focused on different branches of economics (microeconomics, macroeconomics, econometrics). Later, by merging all departments under one umbrella it became a large and dynamic organizational unit devoted to teaching and research in economics, which has over 50 research and teaching staff members.
The Corvinus University CTN research team consists of members of the Institute of Economics, as well as members of the Department of Operations Research and Actuarial Sciences, Corvinus Institute of Advanced Studies (CIAS), and the Institute of Finance. The research team’s focus covers a wide range of topics, including coalition and network theory, game theory, mechanism design, information design, industrial organization, contract theory, decision theory, social choice theory, and experimental and behavioral economics.
