Research at the Faculty
CeBiTec
The “Centre for Biotechnology” (CeBiTec) brings together research activities in biotechnology, molecular biology, genomics, systems biology, biochemistry, bioinformatics and computer science to facilitate interdisciplinary and innovative projects.
JICE
At the “Joint Institute for Individualisation in a Changing Environment (JICE)”, individualisation in changing environments is to be systematically investigated through interdisciplinary dialogue between the natural sciences, the humanities and the social sciences.
SFB "NC3"
The Transregio Collaborative Research Centre (SFB-TRR) brings together behavioural biology, ecology and evolutionary biology. Its aim is to demonstrate how individual organisms manage to adapt to their environment and, in doing so, find and use their own ecological niche.
FOR 3000
The DFG-funded research group, ‘Ecology and Evolution of Intraspecific Chemodiversity in Plants’, combines empirical studies of the chemodiversity of Populus nigra, Solanum dulcamara and Tanacetum vulgare with theoretical approaches.
